The ROC began in the fall 2005 when Steve and Carol Herman felt called by God to open a  youth center for the teens of Ashland. The Youth Center's mission has always been to provide a space for students to be themselves, while teaching them about God's love both through intentional bible studies and being positive role models for youth. 

 

The youth center is a unique outreach because some students come in not knowing about the Gospel, and are exposed to the Bible and for the first time at youth group, while others have dedicated their life to Christ.

 

At the Youth Center, we do emphasize learning positive life skills that are important in all areas of life. We desire to reinforce positive decision making while redirecting behavior or having discussions with youth when needed. 

 

At the ROC Youth Center, there is open free time where students surround a board game, the WII, the pool table, or food and build relationships with volunteers and their peers.
